Welcome to Green Hill Veterinary Care. Green Hill Veterinary Care’s mission is to provide a place where you and your pets, of any type, feel like part of our family. We are centered around personal care to fit your needs whether it is a minor concern, wellness check or an emergency. We know how busy your schedule is so we strive to make your veterinary care as easy and caring as possible. We use flexible scheduling to make sure you have the time you deserve and need. We also offer house calls for routine or emergency care. Our main goal is to provide your loved ones a comfortable environment and to promote a relaxed setting for all appointments.

We offer care for all animals except large farm animals and non human primates. We are comfortable with scaled, feathered or furry family members. Our goal is to be able to care for your family no matter the diversity. We can also help your next family member have the best outcome by offering habitat advice before you purchase your next pet. The best way to have a healthy life is to prepare. Many times, with exotic pets, husbandry is the most important first step. You want to have your habitat ready before you bring home your newest family member. There are also many resources out there that we can help you weed through to give you a starting point. Preventative medicine starts here.

Green Hill Veterinary Care was founded on the premise that your family comes first. You will see that all of our staff is friendly and inviting, not because they have to, but because they care. We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable no matter the setting or situation.

"Where Your Pet’s Health Matters Most"

Dr. Craig Hill

Dr. Hill grew up in New Stanton, PA.  He originally gained his love for animals from his many family members, especially his grandfather.  He was always surrounded by many types of animals: hamsters, parakeets, fish, turtles, dogs, cats, a turkey, a pony, cows, pigs and anything else that called their land home.  He graduated from Hempfield High School.  After high school, he moved west to Colorado to attend Colorado State University.  He got his undergraduate degree in microbiology, which is why you find him looking in microscopes any chance he has.  He then attended Colorado State University to get his veterinary degree. During this time, he studied small animal and exotic medicine.  He realized that not many veterinarians had an interest in exotic species but since he was surrounded by them growing up, it only made sense to spend extra time studying the things he loved.  Since graduation from CSU, he has worked in many different settings which allows him to bring those experiences to Green Hill Veterinary Care.  He has lived in Baltimore (boo!), Asheville and then back to Western PA.

Liz Ringler

Office Manager/Veterinary Tech

Liz grew up in Ligonier, PA. She attended Westmoreland County Community College and received an Associates Degree in Business Management.

Liz moved to Denver, Colorado to attend The Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology for Veterinary Technician training.

Liz has worked for a variety of Veterinary practices, large and small; specializing in exotic, Eastern and Western medicine, emergency management rolls and CVT.

She enjoys crafting, knitting, gardening, kayaking, camping, and hiking.

Liz also loves spending time with her fiancé, her two setters, Charlotte and Norma and her two cats, Henry and Nari.

Zach Vallo

Head of Reception

Zach grew up in Murrysville, PA. He attended the University of Toledo, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy Administration. After managing a family owned group of pharmacies in Toledo, he moved back home to Pennsylvania. Being an animal lover and growing up with dogs, cats and rats he jumped at the opportunity to get his foot in the door at a local family owned veterinary office. He immediately appreciated the good nature and intentions of Dr. Hill and his wife Jenny, and the passion they have to help animals and the people who share their home and life with them. In his spare time, Zach enjoys spending time outside, playing with his animals at home and following the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates.

Jess Walton

Certified Veterinary Tech

Jess was born and raised on the outskirts of Greensburg. After attending WCCC and obtaining an Associates Degree, she graduated from the Vet Tech Institute in Pittsburgh. She has worked in a plethora of different general practice and emergency hospitals. While she loves all of our animal patients, she has a soft spot for felines. When she's not at GHVC, you more than likely will find her at home working in her garden, cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends. Her personal zoo includes 2 dogs, 3 cats and 1 lizard.

Eli Snyder

Reception and Customer Service

Eliance, known to us as Eli, grew up in Clarksburg, PA. With a background in Advertising and Marketing, he has spent most of his professional career in Customer Service, from technical support agent to supervisor of high-end furniture sales.

Eli is a lifelong lover of all animals and proud dad to his dog Kane and three kitties, Princess Carolyn, Cordelia and Klaus (not to mention his overabundance of plants). He has worked previously at other veterinary clinics as a receptionist and veterinary assistant and fell in love with the job, the pets and their humans. He plans to eventually return to school to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. Until then, he is thrilled to work our desk and get to know the humans along with their fur babies.
